Play of the Day: Mike Pence Tries to Attend a Colts Game
The vice president walked out before the action started on Sunday.
Over the weekend on Twitter, President Donald Trump criticized late-night TV hosts, saying they have "very 'unfunny' & repetitive material, always anti-Trump!" Jimmy Kimmel and Late Show's Stephen Colbert wondered why Trump used quotes for the word "unfunny," with Kimmel suggesting Trump doesn't know what air quotes are.
Vice President Mike Pence caused a stir over the weekend by leaving the Indianapolis Colts game before kickoff because of player demonstrations against police violence during the national anthem. Late Night's Seth Meyers joked that if Pence is that easily offended then he should look at his boss, while Kimmel joked about Trump taking credit for the idea on Twitter. The Tonight Show's Jimmy Fallon joked about the news, noting that cost price of Pence's trip also included ice cream for Trump. Meyers also noticed that Pence's pre-game tweet of a photo looked exactly the same as a previous pre-Colts game photo of the Pences, suggesting that the family only has one photo or they just look the same in every single photo opportunity.
