President Donald Trump hosted children of journalists at the White House recently for candy in celebration of Halloween and it got slightly awkward when he told some children that they could have some of the sweets because they "have no weight problems." Late Night's Seth Meyers wondered how Trump will handle the turkey pardoning next week, suggesting Trump will say "you're going to live, but the rest of your family is dead. All dead."
Trump's former campaign manager Paul Manafort was indicted by Special Counsel Robert Mueller on 12 counts, with Manafort turning himself into the FBI on Monday. Late-night joked about the news, with The Tonight Show's Jimmy Fallon joking that Trump is so nervous that he's about to get into a white Ford Bronco and Late Show's Stephen Colbert joking about the "Save the date" nature of Mueller letting Manafort know about the charges. The Daily Show's Trevor Noah joked about Manafort going to trial and potentially taking the stand, showing the infamous 2016 video of Manafort stuttering and stumbling when trying to deny financial ties between the Trump and Russia.
