Play of the Day: Trump's Eating Korean Food in Seoul
Who better to appreciate 360-year-old soy sauce than the man who loves ketchup on his well-done steak?
Actor George Clooney said recently that Democratic Party doesn't have a potential presidential candidate to beat President Donald Trump in 2020 because the Democrats don't have anyone “who can light up the room.” Late Night's Seth Meyers joked about the quote, doing a Bernie Sanders impression playing on Sanders' frugality.
Trump is in the middle of Asia trip and, in addition to speaking about the North Korean nuclear threat, he attended a state dinner with the South Korean president. Despite requests for American-style food, Trump was served a traditional Korean meal including prawns with the heads still attached and beef ribs with a 360-year-old soy sauce. Jimmy Kimmel joked about the sauce, saying "if there's anyone who can appreciate a 360-year-old soy sauce, it is the man who puts ketchup on his Chicken McNuggets." The Opposition's Jordan Klepper joked about the prawns, comparing the prawn's "creepy pale face" to Mitch McConnell.
