Play of the Day: Omarosa Leaves the White House With a Flourish
The former Trump advisor had to be escorted from the premises.
The White House announced this week that President Donald Trump advisor and former Apprentice contestant Omarosa Manigault Newman is leaving her administration post to "pursue other opportunities" and the details of her leaving became huge news on Wednesday. Jimmy Kimmel joked "this serves as a sobering reminder that Omarosa had a job in the White House," while Late Show's Stephen Colbert shrugged when explaining her role in the administration.
More details came out on Wednesday, with American Urban Radio Networks' April Ryan reporting that "Omarosa is alleged to have acted very vulgar and cursed a lot" and was "escorted out of the building," prompting The Daily Show's Trevor Noah to cheer that "the Trump administration is having its season one finale" and Kimmel joked "to be fair to Omarosa, everyone leaves the White House screaming profanities." With Ryan reporting that Chief of Staff John Kelly, Colbert cited Trump's role on The Apprentice in joking that "firing Omarosa is literally the only job Donald Trump is qualified for."
