Play of the Day: Rudy Giuliani Goes Off The Script
The president's lawyer went on Fox News to defend Trump.
Upon being named Chief of Staff to President Donald Trump, John Kelly reportedly received a note from the Secret Service chief that said "Congratulations, I think." The Tonight Show's Jimmy Fallon joked about the news, saying that's what everyone told Melania Trump on her wedding day.
Trump's lawyer and friend Rudy Giuliani appeared on Sean Hannity's show this week to explain some things about Trump's alleged payment -- through another lawyer, Michael Cohen -- to adult film actress Stormy Daniels. Some are saying Giuliani hurt Trump's case by contradicting the president's claim that he knew nothing about the payment and connecting the payment to the 2016 campaign. Late Night's Seth Meyers joked "I don't want to say Giuliani screwed Trump, but Michael Cohen gave him $130,000" and Jimmy Kimmel joked that "Giuliani's going to implicate Trump in the Lincoln assassination" by the end of this.
