The president bragged about his Nielsen numbers while welcoming hostages returning home from North Korea.
The White House is setting up an artificial intelligence summit soon, according to reports. The Tonight Show's Jimmy Fallon joked about the news, saying President Donald Trump wants the summit because Amazon's Alexa "is the only woman who's still talking to him."
The Trump administration negotiated the release of three American prisoners held in North Korea and Trump himself greeted them when they arrived in the United States Thursday. One of the hostages was taken during Barack Obama's administration, prompting The Daily Show's Trevor Noah, Late Night's Seth Meyers and Conan O'Brien to joke that the hostage said something like "No, really, who's the real president?" upon seeing Trump. The president also bragged about the ratings he might have gotten at the 3 a.m. meeting, prompting Late Show's Stephen Colbert to ask if Trump cares that he "beat an informercial for the Slap Chop."
