Play of the Day: Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy Is Retiring
Will the president nominate Jeanine Pirro? Ted Nugent? Himself?
President Donald Trump spoke to young people at the Face-to-Face With Our Future event on Wednesday and told the millennials in attendance "if you don't love what you're doing, find something else," prompting The Tonight Show's Jimmy Fallon to joke that half the audience got up and left.
Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy announced his retirement on Wednesday, which will give Trump the opportunity to nominate a second justice to the high court. Donald Trump Jr. tweeted "OMG! Just when you thought this week couldn't get more lit... I give you Anthony Kennedy's retirement from #SCOTUS", prompting Fallon to joke that the word "lit" is officially over, while Late Show's Stephen Colbert addressed Kennedy with "I'd never thought I'd say this, but you're only 81." Trump mentioned at the White House that he has a "list" of potential nominees, prompting Colbert to joke that he's looking forward to seeing Associate Justice List, while The Opposition's Jordan Klepper joked that Trump could nominate Ted Nugent, Janine Pirro or even himself.
