Play of the Day: Omarosa Will Not Be Silenced
The former White House official released yet another tape.
According to a new poll this week, more than half of Republican voters say that the news media is an "enemy of the people," echoing statements President Donald Trump has said recently. Jimmy Kimmel joked about the poll, saying "we all know the enemy of the people is gluten."
Former White House official and reality TV star Omarosa Manigault Newman released another secret recording she took during her time working for the president, this time of Lara Trump offering Manigault Newman $180,000 to not talk about her time at the White House after she was fired. Late Night's Seth Meyers joked about the tape, saying "this one features a verse by Cardi B," while The Tonight Show's Jimmy Fallon joked that Melania Trump gets way less than $180,000 not to talk negatively about the White House. Late Show's Stephen Colbert also joked about the news, asking "why is Lara Trump in charge of this" and joking that the president said "We need someone to handle this delicately. Send my worst son's wife." Manigault Newman said on NBC Thursday that she's not going to be silenced by the White House and that "my tapes are better than theirs," prompting Colbert to joke "I bet Russia's got you both beat."
