Play of the Day: Kanye West Visits The White House
The rapper and President Donald Trump had a meeting and it went just about as expected.
Famously apolitical pop star Taylor Swift endorsed two Democrats in Tennessee last on Instagram, causing a surge of more than 50,000 new voter registrants, according to reports. Saturday Night Live's Colin Jost joked about the news, saying that it is impressive until you realize that Wendy's was able to get six million people to vote on "which burger can get it."
Swift's sometime rival and President Donald Trump supporter Kanye West visited the White House last week wearing a MAGA hat and was filmed going on an eight-minute monologue that sounded unhinged to many observers. Jost joked that West's meeting wasn't the end of the world because the recent UN climate report is actually the end of the world. Jimmy Kimmel's staff put thought bubbles over Trump in the video, with thoughts like "I'm starting to regret the hats" and "Where the hell is M.C. Hammer?"
