President Donald Trump's former lawyer Michael Cohen was sentenced to 36 months in prison this week for violating campaign finance laws during the 2016 campaign. The Tonight Show's Jimmy Fallon joked about the news, saying that Trump heard the sentence and said "That's, like, 20 years."
Trump met with top Democrats in the Oval Office this week and said “I am proud to shut down the government for border security.” Late Night's Seth Meyers joked about Senator Chuck Schumer's reaction to Trump's declaration, saying he smiled like he saw "a sign that says 'Free soup.'" The meeting produces some interesting visuals, so Fallon described some of the different body language of Rep. Nancy Pelosi and Trump, including Pelosi ordering a drink and Trump beatboxing to break the tension.
