Play of the Day: No One Can Know the President's Test Scores and Grades
Donald Trump's former lawyer testified that he threatened the president's former schools not to release Trump's grades and test scores.
President Donald Trump met with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un this week to discuss nuclear proliferation and sanctions in Vietnam. Trump gave a big swooping handshake to Kim upon their first encounter on Wednesday, prompting The Tonight Show's Jimmy Fallon to joke that Trump "shakes hands like a used car salesman desperate to make a deal."
Trump's former lawyer Michael Cohen testified before the House Oversight Committee on Wednesday and said that he had threatened Trump's schools and the College Board to ensure Trump's SAT scores and grades did not become public. Conan O'Brien joked that Trump's low scores must have been the reason Trump created his own university, while Late Night's Seth Meyers joked that Trump filled in every possible bubble on the scoresheet. The Daily Show's Trevor Noah joked about the news, saying maybe Trump had good grades in Spanish class and the release of that information would destroy his support from his most fervent fans.
