GovExec Daily: An Accountability and Oversight Update

As oversight continues to be an issue with the federal government, GAO released a report this week on the ways to go forward to strengthen inspectors general and their independence. The report comes in the wake of concerns from independent watchdog groups about agency IGs serving dual roles in their agencies.
