The United States surpassed half a million deaths from the novel coronavirus pandemic this week, covering over a year of the disease’s presence in the United States. But, the pandemic’s shifting place in the American consciousness began with slowly. Last year, on February 25, we covered the ways the federal government and state government were trying to contain this new disease in the Seattle area, before it had spread.
Route Fifty’s Kate Queram and GovExec’s Eric Katz were our guests that day, on our second show ever. As we celebrate our first anniversary, they returned to the show to talk about our year of COVID-19 and what we’ve learned.
