Video: Olympic bronze medalist in rowing proud to be a fed

Last week, more than 400 athletes from the 2012 U.S. Olympic and Paralympic teams visited the White House to be honored at a reception hosted by President Barack Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama and Vice President Joe Biden.

Presidents welcome Olympians and Paralympians to the White House every two years. However, this year's Olympic team was well-stocked with military members, including an Air Force officer and 15 Army soldiers , one of whom garnered a gold medal in skeet shooting .

The federal contingent also included the bronze-winning Veterans Affairs Department employee, 25-year-old rower Natalie Dell. During her visit to the White House, Dell spoke proudly of her service as a federal employee.

"Not only am I an Olympian, but I'm also a federal employee. I work for the Department of Veterans Affairs," Dell says in the video. "And the Olympian in me is so proud to be here. The federal employee in me is just through the roof."
