Federal Agencies in the Washington, D.C. Area to Open 3 Hours Late Tuesday
The delay is due to a storm that left seven inches of snow or more across the region.
Federal agencies in the Washington, D.C. area will open three hours late on Tuesday, the Office of Personnel Management announced Monday evening.
The delay is due to a winter storm that left seven inches of snow or more across the region. As with Monday's closures, the delay will not apply to the many employees who were already teleworking due to the coronavirus pandemic and recent surge in cases. Emergency employees will be expected to report to work on time.
Non-emergency workers who had been going into the office will be expected to show up no more than three hours later than usual on Tuesday. They may use unscheduled leave or telework if necessary.
