Jon Booth, presenting on the project publicly for the first time along with Judy Cohen, will share the key innovations they used leading up to the successful 2015 Open Enrollment and a glimpse into the next wave of innovations planned for the site. They'll also address the need for building effective vendor partnerships and how these pivotal relationships shaped the innovative approaches taken on this historic government project.

Jon Booth Director, Web and New Media Group, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services
Jon Booth is the Director of the Web & New Media Group in the CMS Office of Communications (OC). In this position, Jon oversees the CMS public websites program, including HealthCare.gov, Medicare.gov, CMS.gov, Medicaid.gov and InsureKidsNow.gov. Most recently, Jon has overseen the migration of the HealthCare.gov website from HHS to CMS and the re-launch of that website focused on the Health Insurance Marketplace program. Jon is leading a team consisting of internal CMS staff and contract developers that are building the parts of the HealthCare.gov Marketplace systems for the next Marketplace open enrollment period. Prior to this position, Jon was the Deputy Director of the Creative Services Group. In this position he led the launch of the Agency's social media channels as well as the Medicare & You Web project. Jon has worked throughout CMS through his career over the past 20 years and has supported the launch of the Agency's websites, IT governance and numerous communication initiatives.
Judy Cohen Vice President, Aquilent
In her role as Vice President, Judy is responsible for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Judy’s specialty is innovation in a government environment—bringing new, transformational ideas to help enhance her customers’ position in meeting the expectations of the Digital Government initiative, the Cloud First policy and the E-Government Act of 2002. Prior to her current role, Judy served as Account Director for a significant portion of Aquilent’s U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) portfolio. During this time, she took a lead role at CMS to help spearhead success for the agency’s high-profile HealthCare.gov project and was recently named a Fed 100 winner specifically for her contributions. Before joining Aquilent, Judy held a range of high-level positons from Vice President of Business Transformation to Executive Consultant to Senior Principal at several government contracting firms.
