Public trust in a potential coronavirus vaccine has fluctuated during the pandemic, with the most-recent polling showing that almost 40% of Americans are hesitant to receive the vaccine when it becomes available. With a nation itching to get back to “normal,” public health officials and agencies have a challenge in communicating the import of getting vaccinated toward that goal.
Ann Christiano is the Director of the Center for Public Interest Communications at the University of Florida and Jack J. Barry is a postdoctoral Postdoctoral research associate at the University of Florida.
