GovExec Daily: FLRA Wants to Make it Easier For Feds to Cancel Union Dues
Erich Wagner joins the podcast to talk about the future of unions in the federal government in light of the board's proposed change.
The Federal Labor Relations Authority is moving toward making it easier for federal employees to stop paying union dues. In 2019, it called for public comments on whether to change its policy on how agencies should collect union dues. And in February, FLRA announced it would move forward to make it easier for union members to cancel their dues at any time.
Federal employee unions are fighting the potential move, but the decision is part of a larger policy toward labor in the Trump administration. Erich Wagner joined GovExec Daily to examine how the proposed move would affect feds.
