Former Defense Secretary William Perry will be in charge of the Clinton Administration's North Korea policy. Perry will focus on North Korea's nuclear weapons potential and on negotiations for a Korean peace treaty.
New Navy Secretary Richard Danzig is being sworn in today at the Pentagon. Danzig replaces John Dalton, to become the 71st Secretary of the Navy.
Jose Gutierrez is the new head of the Small Business Administration's office of minority enterprise development. Gutierrez will oversee the agency's 8(a) business development program. He most recently served as assistant administrator for SBA's office of prime contracts. He has also been an instructor at the University of the District of Columbia and worked for the Commerce Department and the District of Columbia government.

Former Deputy Energy Secretary Elizabeth Anne Moler has found a new job. She'll be a partner in the Washington office of the Houston-based law firm Vinson & Elkins. Moler spent a decade at Energy, before which she worked on Capitol Hill for 20 years.
The Clinton Administration's point man on the Internet is leaving by the end of the year. Ira Magaziner will return to his Providence, Rhode Island home, after steering the administration toward a hands-off approach to Internet development.
Secret Service Director Lewis Merletti, who rose through the service's ranks to its top spot, has announced his retirement. Before joining the service in 1974, Merletti served three years in the U.S. Army. Merletti will work as security chief for the new Cleveland Browns NFL franchise next year.
