Play of the Day: Donald Trump's Relationship with Baseball

Donald Trump named his son-in-law Jared Kushner to head the new Office of American Innovation this week. In talking about the office, Kushner said he's like to run government more "like a business." The Tonight Show's Jimmy Fallon joked that Americans might like this and want to find out about the government's presidential returns policy.

Due to a scheduling conflict, Trump won't be on hand to throw out the ceremonial first pitch at the Washington Nationals' home opener Monday. The tradition of presidents throwing out first pitches at baseball games dates back to William Howard Taft, but The Daily Show's Trevor Noah pointed out that Trump isn't exactly a a man of tradition. Late Show's Stephen Colbert joked that Trump's hands might not be big enough for the baseball, while Conan O'Brien noted that Trump's presence among muscular Hispanic men with bats could be dangerous for him. Noah and Colbert also found footage of Trump singing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" during the seventh-inning stretch at Wrigley Field in 2000, with Noah noting that Trump was hitting "alternative notes."
