The acting director of the CFPB has called it a “sick, sad joke.”
According to reports, Walt Disney World's Hall of Presidents attraction will reopen soon with the new Donald Trump animatronic statue to stand among the other 44 presidents. Late Night's Seth Meyers joked about the news, saying the Trump statue was stored "in the Haunted Mansion."
Earlier this week, a judge ruled in favor of the Trump administration in a case settling dueling claims of leadership over the the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau. The judge ruled that Trump pick and OMB Director Mick Mulvaney could lead CFPB instead of the departing CFPB chief's pick, Leandra English. The Daily Show's Trevor Noah devoted a segment to the row, even joking about a "boss fight" with glee. Noah also noted that Mulvaney has a history of criticism of the CFPB, prompting Noah to ask what the job interview was like and joked about a potential waste elimination situation.
