Donald Trump told factory workers "if you're wealthy, it doesn't matter" while touting his love of the job.
Former Colorado governor John Hickenlooper is rumored to be on the verge of exiting the race for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination. The Tonight Show's Jimmy Fallon joked about the news, saying that when Hickenlooper announced his decision to his supporters, they replied "cool, Dad. Thanks for telling us."
Earlier this week, President Donald Trump spoke at the Shell Petrochemical plant in Monaca, Pennsylvania, and told the assembled workers this thing is costing me a fortune, being president," prompting Late Late Show's James Corden to joke that it's never a good sign when the president calls the job "this thing." Trump went on to say "t's probably costing me from $3 to $5 billion for the privilege of being — and I couldn't care less — I don't care. You know if you're wealthy, it doesn't matter," prompting Jimmy Kimmel to joke that Trump clearly doesn't care about money because he hasn't even "ordered the Treasury to print his face on it yet," while Corden keyed in other parts of the quote and joking that "it doesn't matter" is Trump's attitude toward "marriage vows, parenting and most federal laws.""
